Also known as the Russkiy Toy, this miniature breed is one of the smallest in the world. A descendant of the English Toy Terrier, it gained popularity in Russia in the 20th century but remains relatively rare outside its homeland. Despite its delicate appearance, the Russian Toy is active, energetic, and surprisingly hardy. It comes in two coat varieties: smooth-haired and long-haired, with the long-haired variety being a more recent development.
