With unyielding determination and a relentless drive for hunting, the Istrian Wire-haired Hound closely resembles its smooth-coated relative (opposite). However, due to its strong-willed and stubborn temperament, it can be challenging to train, making it unsuitable as a typical household pet. Known as the Istarski Oštrodlaki Gonic in its native Croatia, this breed hails from the Istrian Peninsula.
