Developed by Count Adolf Patrick Hamilton, a founding member of the Swedish Kennel Club, the Hamiltonstovare is an elegant and easygoing hound with a strong instinct for flushing out small game in open fields. Sometimes referred to as the Swedish Foxhound, it is a cross between the English Foxhound, Holstein Hound, Hanoverian Haidbrake, and Courlander Hound.
