One of France’s oldest hound breeds, the Griffon Fauve de Bretagne traces its lineage back to the 1500s. Originally bred in Brittany to protect against wolves, it has evolved into both a skilled hunter and an energetic companion. Its shorter-legged counterpart is the Basset Fauve de Bretagne.
