One of the newest designer breeds, the Goldendoodle was first bred in the USA in the 1990s, resulting from a Golden Retriever and Poodle mix. Its rising popularity has led to its continued development worldwide. Most Goldendoodles are first-generation hybrids, displaying varied coat textures—some curly, others wavy or straight. Their size depends on whether the Poodle parent is medium, miniature, or toy-sized. While lively and energetic, they are known for their gentle temperament, trainability, and ability to get along well with children and other pets.
