Created in the 1920s in Cordoba, Argentina, the Dogo Argentino was the brainchild of a local doctor who aimed to breed a dog for hunting large game. By crossing mastiff-type dogs with Bulldogs and other breeds, he developed this powerful yet loyal dog. The Dogo Argentino has a gentle disposition but may become overly protective if not properly trained.
