Elegant and almost feline in appearance, the Borzoi is one of the most aristocratic sight hounds. Formerly known as the Russian Wolfhound, it was bred by Russian nobles to hunt wolves, with packs of over 100 dogs used in high-speed chases across the tundra. Today, the Borzoi has transitioned into a companion breed but still requires long walks and runs. Its long, wavy coat needs regular brushing and bathing to maintain its luxurious appearance.
