About

The Bloodhound, also known as the St. Hubert Hound in Belgium, was originally bred by monks at the Abbaye de Saint-Hubert. It is believed that some of these dogs were brought to England by William the Conqueror in 1066. Characterized by its massive frame, wrinkled skin, and droopy ears, this breed is the classic detective story sleuthhound. Famed for its unparalleled tracking ability, the Bloodhound can follow a scent trail that is several days old, even across varied terrain. Despite its formidable size, it is gentle and good-natured, making it a wonderful companion for families with ample space.
